Wednesday Nights

Wednesday Evenings
at St. Mark's

6:00 p.m. Midweek Supper
All are welcome to join for a community dinner prepared by church members in Heritage Hall prior to worship.
6:45 p.m. Midweek Worship
You are invited to give yourself a gift in the middle of your week.  This worship service will refresh you and leave you with a sense of calm and security.  You will be fed through singing, and quiet contemplation of scripture.  In our peaceful Sanctuary lit with candles, you will feel God's presence and trust more deeply that you are God's beloved child.  Come and be fed.

The Stewardship Committee works on projects to increase gifts of time, talent, and treasure. It organizes the annual fall fund drive and nurtures year-round stewardship awareness within our parish community.

Stewardship in 2009

Forward in Faith… Together in Mission

The purpose of the Forward In Faith . . . Together In Mission Campaign is to enable St. Mark’s Lutheran Church to participate more fully in God’s mission by growing in faith and generosity. It is our hearts’ desire to minister more effectively to our members, our community and the world.

The campaign presents each of us the opportunity to make two commitments to enable us to strengthen our ministry and further the work of Christ's church now and for years to come.

  1. 2009 General Fund Commitment
Supports the ongoing, every-day ministry of the congregation
  2. 2009-2011 Building Fund Commitment
Covers the costs of our mortgage obligations; pays down principal to save future interest

Payments; provides a tithe (10%) to support our Sister Parish in El Salvador and begin an Elevator Fund for our church

We hope that everyone can be included in this important effort. Our prayer is that all gifts will lead to greater spiritual growth and a realization that we can never out-give God (2 Cor. 9:15).

Prayer for Growth

Most loving God, you have generously given and entrusted many blessings to us at St. Mark’s.  As we gather as a community in worship to attend to your Word and Sacraments, we grow in the Holy Spirit and share that Spirit with one another. Empower us with your strength and love as we begin this undertaking. Give us a sense of mission as we work together to more meaningfully become the hands of Christ to our families, friends, and neighbors. Help us to understand that it is your work, not ours, that we are doing as together we seek to serve in your name. Amen
